Broncos Assure Fans Russell Wilson Benched Not For Financial Reasons, But Because He’s Black

In a stunning move, the Denver Broncos have benched Super Bowl champion quarterback Russell Wilson. There have been rumblings that the team’s decision is financial, but Broncos brass assured their fan base otherwise.

The Denver Broncos are committed to spending whatever amount it takes to put a championship contender on the field, said Denver Broncos CEO Greg Penner.

“We are not parting ways with Mr. Wilson because of dollars and cents, it’s because he’s Black,” the Broncos CEO admitted.

“We were just never comfortable with a Black man being at the helm of this franchise,” said Penner. “Look, the biggest stars this franchise has ever seen were John Elway, Peyton, Manning, and for goodness’ sake, Tim Tebow,” said Penner. When people think of Denver, they think of White people. It was our own fault for messing with that formula.”

Many pundits believe that Wilson’s benching and eventual cutting is due to the $37 million for 2025 the signal-caller is entitled to if he’s on the roster by March 17, 2024.

“If you want a Black football fix, we welcome you to go over to Boulder and check out what Coach Prime is doing there,” said the Broncos CEO.

Penner also said that the team will be selling ‘if it ain’t white it ain’t right’ to honor their new White Quarterback Jarrett Stidham.
