Lloyd Wright of Youngstown, Ohio, has been estranged from his three children for the better part of their lives. However, less than a month away from Father’s Day, Wright continues his tradition of doing just enough before the holiday to get a gift.
“I may not be in their lives for everything, but I’m there for the important things, like Cinco de Mayo, Memorial Day weekend and the start of the NBA Finals.”
The 45-year-old father of 3 has a longstanding tradition of being a terrible father to his children, except for May and early June.
Wright plans to take his yearly fatherly grandstanding ‘up a notch’ this year by attending a random PTA meeting and a track meet or play at his children’s school.
“That should at least be good for a number 1 Dad mug or a Chili’s gift card, but I’m more of a TGI Friday’s man.”
