The American people have been deprived by their country for too long. Since our inception, the United States has exported freedom at gunpoint to other countries, letting what the State deems undeserving animals suckle the tit of the American taxpayer with little to no return for those back home. But no more. Thanks to ICE, the residents of Los Angeles are indulging in the sweet taste of American freedom and tear gas that has been reserved for child terrorists overseas.

Now, children born to immigrants in the U.S. can be liberated from their parents just like kids in the Middle East. No more having to travel all the way to Baghdad, Kabul, or Port-au-Prince to experience the thrill of a dawn raid by occupying forces. Now, they can become collateral damage in the fascist face fucking of the rights of every citizen.

You usually have to go above and beyond to get this sort of taste of American freedom. Still, Americans have a front row seat to the most powerful aspects of freedom, such as the freedom to surveil, the freedom to be held without due process, and freedom from empathy and basic morality. And what a feeling that is.

In a city where it takes three hours to go five miles, ICE has been able to deliver terror and subsequently get their shit kicked in by protesters in no time flat. Swooping in and dying off like the nearly extinct bald eagle.

My only hope is we soon see this on the doorstep of every U.S. city. From West Hollywood to Brooklyn. From Dallas to Miami, and beyond. Because we all deserve the taste of real American freedom. One that comes with a boot to the door, faces covered, no legal representation, and maybe, if you’re lucky, a complimentary body bag.
